csrThe EU is developing a new policy on Corporate Social Responsibility.

The key issues were thrashed out at a large stakeholder conference in Brussels in February. Many think that it should be renamed 'Business and Human Rights'. A lot of big organisations are taking it seriously and integrating CSR throughout production and supplier sources. The voluntary approach is still leaving gaps for the bad operators. Also what to do when a third world state will not enforce the law? Remember the Rana Plaza textile factory disaster in Bangladesh? There are a lot of similar 'challenges' out there.

Griffiths and Company provided a team of rapporteurs to summarise the conference debates and synthesise the good ideas for the new EU CSR policy.
